The drawer bottom adds to the strength and integrity of the drawer box.
Standard drawer bottoms are 1/4”. This works great in most all drawers as they
are glued in place and have enough strength to hold typical drawer loads.

Thicker bottoms, such as 3/8” or 1/2” are recommended for heavier loaded drawers.
